Handmade Cork bodied Wire Stem Avon Floats
Avons can come in many different guises and the options are almost endless. These are made with wire stems and cork bodies with fine reed tips to maintain buoyancy through the top. They have delicate little feather patterns of small hackles and kingfisher and can just as easy be made with balsa bodies or with quill, porcupine or cane for the tips and stems. Its all about choice so if you have a particular taste be sure not to let me know, i will always do my best to help.
