Over the last few weeks I have been working on a special pair of pike floats. I pulled out all the stops by using all new tins of paint and varnish, the best swan quills for the tips and the best quality silk for the thread work. The stems are made from sections of old split cane rod and each float is fitted with a slightly oversized brass eye to accommodate heavier lines for pike fishing. The feathers had to be kingfisher with the larger wingtip feathers inlaid on the larger part of the cork and the tiny ultra bright blue feathers for the smaller body. I have named them the "Pike Master" and numbered them No1 & No2 and the new owner is over the moon with them!!

I don't like to blow my own trumpet but the result is nothing short of breathtaking and I am very proud of the outcome.
