Due to recent comments on one of the angling forums I felt I should list images of some plain & simple quill tip avon floats. Now & again im asked to make floats without feathers & I can see the appeal of the minimalist appearance, I think you will agree these avons are incredibly plain. I did toy with the idea of using a cane tip for extra plainness, I dont know what came over me!

I have also listed some superb floats made specially for a chaps 11 year old granddaughter, complete with diamante tips, bright pink, blue, red feathers & spangly glittery girly stuff. Ha!! brilliant!! I absolutely love them & im sure they will aid in the making a fantastic fisherwoman!!

And for Grandfather, a set of 3 kingfisher floats, a nice silk whipped porcupine quill avon and 2 linked floats similar to the old 60's allcock affairs ive not seen in years. He was very vague with his order just asking for some different floats for himself & his granddaughter regardless of cost. They took a lot of work to complete but in my personal opinion I feel they look great, perhaps just as good as the plain avons without feathers.
